Terrific New Theatre launches its first production of Project Written in the South, “Love is a Blue Tick Hound” on December 8th. The show will run until December 17, and there will be talkbacks with the playwright on December 9 and 10.

Comprised of four short plays, the play will be a world premiere. The playwright, Audrey Cefaly, is a Southern writer who, through character-driven vignettes, seeks to both explore the human condition and create a cathartic release for the viewer.

Each of the short plays is directed by well-known Birmingham directors. John McGinnis will direct “Fin & Euba”, Bethe Ensey will direct “Clean”, Alan Litsey will direct “Stuck”, and Terrific New Theatre’s Artistic Director will be directing “The Gulf”.

This production is made possible through grants from the Alabama State Council on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts, and will be an exciting launch of Project Written in the South.
